3Dconnexion’s line of 3D mice is now supported by the latest version of SOFTIMAGE|XSI, the professional 3D animation software for creating 3D content for games, film and television.
3Dconnexion 3D mice enable 3D design professionals to navigate smoothly within the SOFTIMAGE|XSI 3D environment for precise 3D modelling, animation and rendering. In addition, buttons on the 3D mice can be programmed to launch frequently used SOFTIMAGE|XSI commands so there is no need to stop mid-workflow to select keyboard commands.
Unlike mice confined to motion on one flat plane, 3Dconnexion’s 3D mice enable users to move in all three dimensions simultaneously. By simply pulling, pushing and tilting the controller, SOFTIMAGE|XSI 7 designers can access intuitive control in their 3D design environment, with navigation options for moving the scene or camera. 3D design professionals can also use 3Dconnexion 3D mice to control the rotation pivot point for more precise navigation in Camera/View, Focal Point or Scene/Object modes.
