CyberPower Teams with Intel for $10,000 Online Gaming Tournament on Destructoid Web Site

BALDWIN PARK, CA - CyberPower Inc., a manufacturer of customized gaming machines, notebook systems and high performance workstations has partnered with Intel to offer a month-long online gaming tournament hosted by gaming community Destructoid.

The Destructoid Gaunlet – Online Gaming Tournament runs from late October to December 5, 2008 and features four skills-based online games from various gaming genres (puzzle, strategy action). The games will be updated every two weeks on www.destructoid.com, an independent gaming discussion community. Players need to log on to the site to play and submit their high scores.

Participants will have to play one of the four games and submit the score. Every other Friday CyberPower will review the scores submitted in the last two weeks in the database; the top three players with the highest score will be given out cash up to $1000.

The winners from previous tournaments will be invited for the final tournament held the last week of the campaign. CyberPower will be giving out three custom-built gaming systems as the top prizes. They include: Grand Prize: Gamer Infinity CrossFireX (Core i-7 processor); 2nd Prize: Gamer Xtreme M1 (Centrino 2) notebook PC; 3rd Prize: Xplorer X5-7800
